My Design Journey

Welcome! I'm Jeni, Interior Designer and founder of Dalby Home Interiors based in Nottingham.

My journey into interior design began in the most natural way — by helping family and friends transform their homes. What started as a few small projects quickly turned into something of a passion for interiors.  I discovered how much I loved creating spaces that not only look beautiful but also feel comfortable and personal.

With each project, I realised that great design isn’t about following trends — it’s about understanding the people who will live in the space. I love listening to stories, learning about someones style, and turning their ideas into reality. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone walk into their home and feel that it truly reflects who they are.

 

I’m lucky to be surrounded by a very supportive family — my wonderful husband, our daughter (who is a chip of the old block - though not sure which one!) , and our two curious cats who often “help” with my design projects from home. They constantly remind me how important it is to create spaces filled with love, personality, and comfort.

When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me supporting my local football team (I’m a proud season ticket holder!) or enjoying a night out at the cinema. 

Today, I bring that same passion and care to every project I take on. Whether it’s a modern styled bedroom to a cosy living room makeover, my goal is always to design spaces that feel warm, inviting, and uniquely you.
